Eating for Two: Week 35

Wow, man, I can’t believe it’s been almost 6 weeks since I shared a real bumpdate!!! Time flies the fastest when you’re pregnant, I’m telling you!!

I am in such a weird place lately. I feel like everything I feel lately is always extreme. I’m either suppppper happy, or I want to cry my eyes out. Or I’m perky and full of energy…or I want to curl up in a ball and sleep for a week. It’s definitely a unique feeling, and I’m doing my very best to not let it get the best of me and enjoy the 5 weeks I have left to prepare for my little muffin to show her beautiful face!!!

The nursery is coming along great and I hope to have everything washed and hung up this weekend. I’ll share some pictures when it’s all done!! I already started washing sheets and blankets and bibs and towels and they’re all folded and put away. I have the sheets set up in the crib and it’s too flippin’ cute I can hardly handle it. Sure, they’ll be covered in poop and spit up soon enough, but right now they are soft and pristine and adorbs. 🙂

This weekend I’m going to do what I can to plan out and get started on a few freezer meals, too (I hope!), to just have a few things ready to go for once baby is here. Anyone have some fave’s they’d like to share with me??

Anywho, the hubs is busy watching the draft tonight so I don’t have an “official” chalkboardy bump picture, but I took this one a little while ago for funsies and it will have to suffice. 😀

35 Weeks Pregnant
How far along: 35 weeks!!

Total weight gain/loss:  I’m tipping the scales at 150 lbs these days, so that’s what, 32 pounds gained I think? I’m still very thankful it’s pretty much all in my belly. My lower back is becoming less thankful for that everyday, though.

Maternity clothes? Oh gosh, I’m really at a point now where it’s like…I only have 5 weeks left…and I do not want to buy more maternity clothes. However, it’s starting to get much warmer out, and leggings are starting to become less and less fun to wear. I have a few dresses that are not maternity but I can still wear quite comfortably. I’m just about done trying to squeeze myself into jeans even with my belly band.

Stretch marks? Nada!!

Sleep: It depends on the night. I’m not waking up to pee at all, which is nice, but even when I just sleep in a tank top and underwear I’ll get into bed cold and wake up at 2:00am sweating!! I’ve also found that for me to get a good night of rest I need to sleep on the opposite side I slept on the night before. I know it sounds weird…but it’s working for me.

Miss anything? Lol how about bending down without having to spread my legs like I’m about to hop on a horse. Otherwise, I’m good. 😀

Movement: So much, in fact, I’m curious when she sleeps!! I know I’ve read quite a bit about babies sleep cycles being the opposite of their mother’s but I’m telling you I feel her all day!!! It makes me wonder if maybe she just sleeps when I do.

Food cravings:  Not craving much these days. I’m all up on citrus fruits again lately, I guess. I smelled oranges at the farmers market and decided I needed them.

Food aversions: Nope!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I’m not queasy or sick but I have coined a new term for what I experience the most of lately. They’re called “hiccurps”. I do it a million times a day. It starts off feeling like a hiccup, and ends in a burp. Freakin’ adorable, I know.

Best moment this week: Meh, this week hasn’t really had one of those. It’s not like this week has been AWFUL, just really long and stressful at work. I guess actually I was quite excited this morning when I FINALLY got in touch with the pediatrician’s office after a week of phone tag and got my appointment scheduled lol.

Labor signs: I feel like I mayyyy have had a few Braxton Hicks contractions over the last week, but who knows really. It was just like all of a sudden my belly went from squishy to rock solid and back after a few minutes.

Symptoms: Some lower back pain that I’ve been trying to take care of with yoga and a heating pad. It’s definitely helping. Though sitting at work all day certainly isn’t. *sigh* And I pretty much feel like this…all the time:

EmmoooootinallllBelly Button in or out? In, but it’s definitely stretching to maximum capacity.

Wedding rings on or off? On! Since it’s gotten warmer out, though, I’m definitely noticing that they are more snug than ever before.

Looking forward to: The weekend of course. This one should be pretty chill and productive. We’re probably going to see the new Spider-Man, too, which is prettttty exciting. And hopefully getting froyo with Ashely and Jared on Sunday. <3

Maternity clothes? Love them!!! Though I was quite excited yesterday when I slipped on my green Gap khakis and they still fit great everywhere but my belly!! This belly band was probably the best investment I’ve made throughout this whole pregnancy!! I’ve got a shopping cart filled with maternity stuff at Old Navy.com, too, that I may or may not buy this weekend. It’s spring, ya’ll, and I need some dresses!!

Stretch marks? Nope!!

Sleep: I actually slept for like 9 hours last night. I’m getting it while I can I suppose.

Miss anything? I’m back to really missing my runny yolks. I love me a plate of eggs benedict. I’m pretty positive at this point in time my post baby diet will consist of smoked salmon eggs benedict, sushi, and melty brie and sangria.

Movement: Oh goodness yes!! All week this little lady has been tumbling and somersaulting like a little nut!

Food cravings:  I really only ever want to eat chocolate and peanut butter and only eat other things for nourishment. I’m actually sooooo sad that I left my bag of chocolate chips in my desk drawer at work today so I can’t have my chocolate chip peanut butter banana oatmeal tomorrow. :( Eggs it is I suppose.

Food aversions: Nope!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!

Best moment this week: Signing back up to be a Pampered Chef consultant!! I’m so excited about it!! There are so many amazing new products that I can’t wait to have in my personal kitchen and I look forward to helping whoever I can earn free and discounted products for themselves, too!!!

Labor signs: Nada.

Symptoms:  I’ve been pretty emotional this week. Or maybe just for the last 24 hours. Last night, I’m pretty sure I started crying because I was bored. I don’t even know. I just started bawling out of nowhere!!! Oh hormones!

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Moody pants McGee over here.

Looking forward to: SO MUCH!!! This weekend will be productive and relaxing, next weekend we get to see Bill and Susan again, the next weekend we’ll be in South Carolina, and the next weekend I get to see my Momma and it’s my baby shower!!! Ahh!!! So much happiness!!!!
